With a second blaze threatening homes in Pleasanton Ridge, a fire in Vacaville, California prompts evacuations.

On Thursday, a VEGETATION fire forced the evacuation of a city in California and momentarily shut down the highway, according to officials.

The Timm Fire has burned about 15 acres nearby, and according to officials, it is not even 1% contained.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Highway 505 has now been reopened after a brief closure.

Authorities warned that the road might close again.

According to the Solano County Office of Emergency Services, residents of Vacaville were told to leave around 2:55 p.m. This order included anyone living north of Cantelow Road, south of Peaceful Glen Road, east of English Hills Road, and west of Timm Road.

Since the evacuation is required, local residents are currently under immediate threat.

As of Thursday afternoon, there were a number of additional wildfires raging throughout the Bay Area.

Homes near Port Costa and Sunol, respectively, have been ordered to evacuate due to the Phoenix Fire and Canyon Fire.

The Benicia Fire has been raging close to Valery Refinery in the meantime.
