Claire, a Scottish Deerhound dog from Virginia, made history when she was named ‘Best in Show’ at the 2021 National Dog Show, becoming the first dog to do so in over two decades. The Kennel Club of Philadelphia hosts the popular event every year, and Claire won it last year as well. Claire, whose official registered name is GCH Foxcliffe Claire Randall Fraser, was the first repeat champion in the 20-year history of the National Dog Show, according to commentator Mary Carillo.

With her victory prances and skilled performance, the 4-year-old dog took home a $20,000 prize. Claire’s grandmother, who won Best in Show at the Westminster Dog Show in 2011, came close to matching Claire’s achievement. Claire, on the other hand, became the first champion dog in her family to repeat the feat. Angela Lloyd, her handler, stated, “She is just truly at the top of her game.”

Clаire belongs to the Scottish Deerhound breed, а lаrge dog breed thаt originаted in Scotlаnd. They cаn grow up to 3 feet tаll аnd weigh between 75 аnd 110 pounds. They аre, however, not аs tаll аs Irish wolfhounds, despite their similаr аppeаrаnces.
