Day 1 of the 2022 Queen’s Cup: Jack Draper, 20, of the United Kingdom, shocks world No. 14 Taylor Fritz.

QUEENS CLUB — For the second year in a row, Jack Draper lit up the Queen’s Club Championships in west London by knocking out a top-30 player.
Draper reached the quarter-finals of the 2021 tournament by defeating Jannik Sinner, who was ranked No. 23 at the time and is now ranked No. 10 in the world, and then returned to the same venue in double time to add Fritz to his list of scalps.
In the fourth game of the match, the former Wimbledon boys finalist broke for a 3-1 lead and never looked back.
After breaking early in the second and saving break points at 1-0, he was briefly under pressure, but he then ran away with the match against an out-of-sorts Fritz, sealing the victory with a second-serve ace after only an hour and 14 minutes.
