On Wednesday, failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake responded to a blog post about Fox News’ level of coverage of her election lawsuit by criticizing people for being “silent” on “corrupt elections.”
In the 2022 midterm elections, Lake—a former news anchor who won the Republican nomination for governor of Arizona—lost to Katie Hobbs, a Democrat. Although Lake has refused to accept the outcome of the election and has continued to claim that the results were rigged, Hobbs has already been sworn in as governor of Arizona.
A judge in Arizona dismissed a lawsuit Lake filed in December that contested the results of the midterm elections. Both the Arizona Appeals Court and the Arizona Supreme Court heard Lake’s appeal. The Appeals Court agreed to expedite her case despite the Supreme Court rejecting her direct appeal; as a result, her challenge is now anticipated to be heard on February 1.
