MOSCOW, IDAHO: Police in Idaho have confirmed that a dog, which was unharmed, was discovered at the scene of the brutal killing of four University of Idaho students: Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20. Murphy, the dog, belonged to Goncalves, one of the victims. If photos are to be believed, her ex-boyfriend Jack DeCouer is currently taking care of the dog. The New York Post reports that DeCouer was recently seen walking the dog.
Unknown is the extent of the victim’s motivation in leaving the dog unharmed and alive. It’s possible that the murderer never had any contact with it either. Given that a skinned dog was once discovered three miles from the scene of the crime, even though it has been determined that this incident had nothing to do with the student murders, the discovery of the dog is only of minor significance.

The mother of Kaylee Goncalves expresses her disgust at the possibility of her killer attending her daughter’s funeral.
