According to People magazine, Campbell, who left the show in November 1996, sued Lawrence in 1997, alleging “repeated and escalating sexual harassment, sexual battery, verbal abuse, and related threats.” The case was resolved without the need for a trial.

Campbell told CBS Mornings, “We concentrated mostly on that.” After an investigation into three separate allegations of misconduct against him, Disney severed ties with Fred Savage, the director of ABC’s ‘The Wonder Years’ reboot, in May of this year.
