Leeds lose their appeal to have Pascal Struijk’s red card overturned, despite Harvey Elliott’s claim that he was not sent off.

despite the FA rejecting Pascal Struijk’s appeal for a red card, LEEDS UNITED have had their appeal for a red card REJECTED.

The 22-year-old was sent off in Liverpool’s 3-0 defeat after his tackle caused Harvey Elliott’s left ankle to dislocate.

Struijk’s suspension was upheld after Elliott himself said the tackle wasn’t deserving of a red card. Elliott, a

midfielder, wrote on Instagram: “(It) wasn’t his fault at all!” “Neither was it a red card, it was just a freak accident, but these things happen in football.”
