As part of a wholesale Cabinet reshuffle, Dominic Raab has been demoted from the position of Foreign Secretary and given the dual role of Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Secretary.
Former international trade secretary Liz Truss has taken his place at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in a major promotion for the Conservatives’ rising star. Following his mishandling of the UK evacuation of Afghanistan, Boris Johnson decided to move Mr Raab out of one of the Great Offices of State.
