People, Olivia Wilde has done it once more. She elevated her red carpet looks by fusing vintage glam with the spiciest of accessories.
The Don’t Worry Darling actress and director dressed to the nines for the 11th annual LACMA Art + Film Gala on Saturday. She wore a stunning chainmail gown with a chevron pattern in silver and purple.
The spaghetti strap dress had a low V neckline, and a matching silver belt completed the outfit. With its understated Art Deco accents and fitted silhouette, the dress appeared to have been taken right out of the 1920s. She wore just a pair of tiny diamond drop earrings as her only jewelry, keeping the attention on the rest of her outfit.
Her cherry red gloves, however, really made the outfit pop. Despite the fact that opera gloves were a staple of 1920s fashion, Wilde gave hers an S&M makeover by giving them a glossy, latex finish. With matching red strappy pumps that peeked out from the floor-length dress, she coordinated the unexpected look.
Wilde has recently gone above and beyond with her red carpet outfits, topping the previous look for each appearance. There is proof of that up ahead.
