‘Pledge and donation are not the same,’ Amber Heard says when asked about her failure to pay an ACLU pledge.

Pledge vs. Donate was the hot topic in Johnny Depp’s latest hearing against Amber Heard on Monday, May 16, after the latter admitted to failing to pay her pledged $3.5 million donation to the ACLU. The actress claimed that Depp’s lawsuit prevented her from paying the full $7 million divorce settlement.

 

Amber Heard, as usual, quickly rose to the top of Twitter’s trending topics as users grilled her about the pledge and donation debate. Heard claimed that she split the divorce settlement amount between the ACLU and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles’ during an appearance on the Dutch TV show ‘RTL Late Night’ in 2018. Depp sued her for $50 million in March of 2019, and Heard now claims that it is still not done.
