A memorial service for Naomi Judd, the late celebrated country singer, will be held Sunday evening, May 15, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. The 76-year-old singer-songwriter died in her Tennessee home on April 30. The tragedy struck just one day before what would have been a watershed moment in her life. She was set to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame alongside her 57-year-old daughter Wynonna Judd.
Wynonna took the stage during the induction ceremony and delivered an emotional speech. “My mama loved you so much, and she appreciated your love for her,” she explained. I apologize that she couldn’t wait until today. Your admiration and respect for her reached deep into her heart. And it was your love for her that got her through the last few years.”
