ALASKA was hit by a powerful 5.2 magnitude earthquake near an oil refinery near Anchorage.

At 11 a.m. local time, it landed near the Kenai Peninsula.

Although an oil refinery is said to be across the bay, it is not believed to be in jeopardy.

On March 9, an earthquake measuring 5.1 magnitude struck Alaska, 52 kilometers from Anchorage.

Anchorage is Alaska’s largest city.
